Maria Esthela Valdez
Interior Designer & Co-Founder
Maria Esthela Valdez brings a unique blend of architecture, fine arts, interior design, and historic preservation experience to SI Builders. As Designer and Project Manager since 2011, she has guided projects with a focus on beauty, functionality, craftsmanship, and respect for architectural history.
Her background includes architecture studies at Universidad de Monterrey and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Sculpture from UT Brownsville, allowing her to combine technical expertise with artistic creativity.
Maria has also served the Brownsville community through leadership roles in historic preservation, Main Street Brownsville, and as Founder of the Neutra Cultural Center.

Sergio M. Izquierdo Cepeda
Administrator, Supervisor & Co-Founder
As the Co-Founder of SI Builders, Sergio M. Izquierdo Cepeda has played a key role in the company's growth and success since its founding. With decades of experience in business management, administration, and construction supervision, he oversees the day-to-day operations, project management, and quality standards that define every SI Builders project.
Sergio earned a degree in Business Administration from Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM) and has continued his professional development through leadership, management, and construction workshops. Before co-founding SI Builders, he held executive leadership positions with major financial institutions, including Banco Confía, Citibank, and Banamex, serving as a Branch Manager, Regional Manager, and Regional Director.
His background in business, finance, and operations, combined with more than 20 years of experience managing and supervising SI Builders, has helped establish the company as a trusted builder throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Sergio remains committed to delivering quality construction, operational excellence, and homes built to provide lasting value for families and communities.
